LASER HAIR REMOVAL
HOW DOES IT WORK?
Laser hair removal uses laser light pulses to selectively destroy hair follicles by targeting the melanin (color) in them. The pigment in the hair follicle absorbs the laser’s light pulse, which damages the follicle enough to significantly slow hair regrowth.

HOW MANY SESSIONS WILL I NEED?
It depends on the area being treated. Only hair follicles in the active growth stage can be successfully targeted during a laser hair removal treatment. You may need between
6-8 treatments spaced six-to-eight weeks apart to achieve optimal results. We also offer packages of six sessions.
PRE LASER CARE

NO antibiotics two weeks before and after treatment

NO sun exposure including tanning beds, spray tans, and tanning lotions two weeks before and after treatment

NO waxing, threading, or tweezing two weeks before treatment

All areas being treated MUST be shaved the night before treatment.
AFTER YOUR SESSION
After your laser hair removal session, you may see some swelling and redness. These are temporary and likely won’t keep you from resuming your normal activities. However, you must avoid direct sun exposure. And you should also wear high-SPF sunblock for several weeks afterwards. Rare complications include blisters, swelling, redness, and scarring. Even more rare complications are permanent scarring or changes in skin color. NO waxing or tweezing in between sessions.
